প্যাসেজের তথ্যের সাথে প্রশ্ন একই অর্থ বোঝালে TRUE; সরাসরি বিপরীত বললে FALSE; আর প্যাসেজে বিষয়টি নিয়ে স্পষ্ট কিছু বলা না থাকলে NOT GIVEN। নিজের জানা তথ্য বা অনুমান দিয়ে কখনো উত্তর দেবেন না — উত্তর কেবল প্যাসেজে যা লেখা আছে তার উপর নির্ভর করে।
মার্কিং আসলে এই নিয়মগুলোই মানে। IELTS-এর প্রকাশিত ব্যান্ড ডেসক্রিপ্টর দিয়ে খাতা দেখা হয়, আর এই ধরনের প্রশ্নে নম্বর নির্ভর করে আপনার উত্তর প্যাসেজের কথার সাথে মিলছে কি না তার ওপর - বিষয়টা আপনি কতটা জানেন তার ওপর নয়।

1 প্রশ্নগুলো প্যাসেজের ক্রম অনুসারেই আসে
৩ নম্বর প্রশ্নের উত্তর থাকে ২ আর ৪ নম্বরের উত্তরের মাঝখানে। প্রতিটি প্রশ্নের জন্য পুরো প্যাসেজ চষে বেড়ালে পরীক্ষা যা চায় তার চেয়ে অনেক বেশি খাটছেন।

The trap যেখানে সবাই ভুল করে
সবচেয়ে বেশি ভুল হয় Not Given-এ, কারণ মনে হয় উত্তরটা খুঁজে পাইনি। আসলে তা নয় — প্যাসেজ বিষয়টি নিয়ে স্পষ্ট কিছু বলেনি, এটাই উত্তর। যে বাক্য দিয়ে দাবিটি প্রমাণ বা খণ্ডন করা যায় তা দেখাতে না পারলে উত্তর Not Given।
In one line
করুন: প্যাসেজের ঠিক জায়গাটি খুঁজুন। একই অর্থ হলে True, বিপরীত হলে False, স্পষ্ট তথ্য না থাকলে Not Given।
করবেন না: বাইরের জ্ঞান ব্যবহার করবেন না এবং Not Given-কে False ভাববেন না।

উত্তর দেওয়ার আগে পুরো প্যাসেজ গভীরভাবে পড়বেন না। শিরোনাম দেখে দ্রুত স্কিম করুন, তারপর প্রতিটি প্রশ্ন ধরে সঠিক জায়গাটা খুঁজুন।
