Most free practice tests online are written by tutors imitating the exam. The imitation is never exact: passages are slightly easier or harder, distractors are less subtle, and the raw-score-to-band conversion does not apply. Cambridge tests are the exam — retired real papers, calibrated so that 30 out of 40 in Reading really is Band 7. Practising on them is the only way to know your actual band before you pay for the real thing.

Books 10 to 21 match the current test most closely; the older books are there for volume once you have exhausted the recent ones.

After each test, every question shows three things in Bengali: the exact words in the passage or recording that carry the answer, the paraphrase that connects them to the question, and what each wrong option was designed to make you believe. Not Given is explained as the absence of a claim, not as a wrong guess. Spelling and plural losses in Listening are shown letter by letter, with the word's Bengali meaning so it stays learned.

- Start with a full test from a recent book (17 to 21) under real timing to fix your baseline.
- Do not sit a second full test the next day. Spend the days between on the question types that lost marks, using the 82 guides and the spelling trainer.
- Return to a full test every one to two weeks, moving through the recent books first.
- Keep the last two books unseen for the final fortnight before your exam date.
