IELTS exam fee and registration in Bangladesh (2026): what it costs, where to book, when results come

IELTS in Bangladesh is run by two official partners, the British Council and IDP. Both charge the fee published on their own sites; the price is the same whichever partner you book with, and it is paid in full at registration. This page collects the facts a candidate needs before booking, and the one decision that saves the most money: passing the first time.

What the fee is ফি কত

The fee is set by the two test partners and published on their booking pages; it is well above ৳20,000 per attempt and is paid in full at registration. Check the current figure on the partner's site when you book, because fees change.

What the fee includes ফির মধ্যে কী থাকে

• One sitting of all four papers: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
• Your Test Report Form with the overall band and the four component bands.
• Electronic results sent to the institutions you nominate.

Computer-delivered IELTS runs on many more dates per month than the paper test, and results are released in 3 to 5 days instead of 13. The questions, timing and marking are identical. How registration works রেজিস্ট্রেশন কীভাবে হয়

1. Choose the module: Academic for university admission, General Training for most work and migration routes.
2. Choose computer or paper, the city and the date on the partner's booking site.
3. Register with the passport you will bring on test day; the details must match exactly.
4. Pay the fee in full. The booking is confirmed by email with your test details.
5. Bring the same passport on the day. Arrive at least 30 minutes early.

Every retake costs the full fee again. Bangladeshi Academic candidates averaged an overall Band 6.0 in 2024-25, and fewer than one in five reached Band 7, so a second attempt is common and expensive. Sitting full-length mock tests on the same computer interface before the real one is the single most effective way to make the first attempt the last: two full mock tests are free, with every answer explained in Bengali.
