What each band actually means
IELTS reports whole and half bands only. There is no rounding up from a raw score: 29 correct in Listening is band 6.5 and 30 is band 7, and nothing in between exists. The bands below are the official descriptors.

Overall band: how the four papers combine
Your overall band is the mean of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, rounded to the nearest half band. A mean ending in .25 rounds up to the next half band and .75 rounds up to the next whole band — so 6.5, 6.5, 6, 6 averages 6.25 and is reported as 6.5.
সামগ্রিক ব্যান্ড হলো চারটি পেপারের গড়, নিকটতম অর্ধ-ব্যান্ডে রাউন্ড করা। গড় .25 হলে পরের অর্ধ-ব্যান্ডে আর .75 হলে পরের পূর্ণ ব্যান্ডে উঠে যায় — অর্থাৎ 6.5, 6.5, 6, 6 এর গড় 6.25, রিপোর্ট হবে 6.5।
