Every IELTS Reading question typeপ্রতিটি প্রশ্নের ধরন, বাংলায়
IELTS রিডিং পেপারে 15 ধরনের প্রশ্ন আসে। প্রতিটির জন্য আলাদা পদ্ধতি আছে — কোনটিতে কী করতে হবে আর কোন ভুলটি সবচেয়ে বেশি নম্বর কাটে, নিচে প্রতিটির জন্য আলাদা করে দেওয়া আছে।
The IELTS Reading paper uses 15 question types. Each one is marked differently and each has its own method. Below is what to do and what to avoid for every single one.
The golden rule for this paper
Do not read every passage deeply before answering. Read the title and quickly skim the passage, then use each question to find the correct area.
উত্তর দেওয়ার আগে পুরো প্যাসেজ গভীরভাবে পড়বেন না। শিরোনাম দেখে দ্রুত স্কিম করুন, তারপর প্রতিটি প্রশ্ন ধরে সঠিক জায়গাটা খুঁজুন।
Multiple choice - one answer
Do: Read the question first, scan for its keywords or synonyms, then read that small area carefully and eliminate options.
আগে প্রশ্ন পড়ুন, কীওয়ার্ড বা সমার্থক শব্দ স্ক্যান করুন, তারপর ওই ছোট অংশটুকু মন দিয়ে পড়ে অপশন বাদ দিন।
Do not: Answer from memory, general knowledge or one matching word.
স্মৃতি, সাধারণ জ্ঞান বা একটিমাত্র মিলে যাওয়া শব্দ দেখে উত্তর দেবেন না।
Multiple choice - multiple answers
Do: Underline how many answers are required. Find passage evidence for every option before selecting it.
কতটি উত্তর দরকার দাগ দিন। প্রতিটি অপশনের জন্য প্যাসেজে প্রমাণ খুঁজে তবেই বাছুন।
Do not: Choose an option because it sounds logical without textual evidence.
যুক্তিসঙ্গত শোনাচ্ছে বলেই কোনো অপশন বাছবেন না - টেক্সটে প্রমাণ লাগবে।
True / False / Not Given
Do: Find the exact passage area. Same meaning is True; opposite meaning is False; no clear information is Not Given.
প্যাসেজের ঠিক জায়গাটি খুঁজুন। একই অর্থ হলে True, বিপরীত হলে False, স্পষ্ট তথ্য না থাকলে Not Given।
Do not: Use outside knowledge or treat Not Given as False.
বাইরের জ্ঞান ব্যবহার করবেন না এবং Not Given-কে False ভাববেন না।
Yes / No / Not Given
Do: Find the writer's view or claim. Agreement is Yes; contradiction is No; no stated view is Not Given.
লেখকের মত বা দাবিটি খুঁজুন। মিল থাকলে Yes, বিরোধ থাকলে No, মত না থাকলে Not Given।
Do not: Judge the factual truth or use your own opinion.
তথ্য সত্য কি না বিচার করবেন না, নিজের মতামত দেবেন না।
Matching information
Do: Read the statements first, underline unique ideas, then scan all paragraphs for those ideas. Reuse a paragraph only if allowed.
আগে স্টেটমেন্ট পড়ে অনন্য ধারণাগুলো দাগ দিন, তারপর সব প্যারাগ্রাফে সেই ধারণা স্ক্যান করুন। অনুমতি থাকলেই কেবল একটি প্যারাগ্রাফ আবার ব্যবহার করুন।
Do not: Assume the answers follow passage order or read every paragraph deeply first.
উত্তর প্যাসেজের ক্রমে আসবে ধরে নেবেন না, আর আগে পুরো প্যাসেজ গভীরভাবে পড়বেন না।
Matching headings
Do: Read the heading list first. Read one paragraph at a time, identify its main idea, match it, then continue to the next paragraph.
আগে হেডিং তালিকা পড়ুন। একটি করে প্যারাগ্রাফ পড়ে তার মূল ভাব ঠিক করুন, মিলিয়ে দিন, তারপর পরেরটিতে যান।
Do not: Read the whole passage deeply first or match a heading from one repeated word.
আগে পুরো প্যাসেজ গভীরভাবে পড়বেন না, আর একটি পুনরাবৃত্ত শব্দ দেখে হেডিং মেলাবেন না।
Matching features
Do: Mark unique names, dates or groups in the options. Scan for each feature and read nearby sentences carefully.
অপশনের নাম, তারিখ বা দল আলাদা করে চিহ্নিত করুন। প্রতিটি বৈশিষ্ট্য স্ক্যান করে আশপাশের বাক্য মন দিয়ে পড়ুন।
Do not: Assume each option is used once; check whether reuse is allowed.
প্রতিটি অপশন একবারই ব্যবহার হবে ধরে নেবেন না - পুনরায় ব্যবহার করা যাবে কি না দেখুন।
Matching sentence endings
Do: Read the sentence beginnings and predict the meaning. Find the passage evidence in order, then choose the ending that fits both meaning and grammar.
বাক্যের শুরুগুলো পড়ে অর্থ অনুমান করুন। ক্রম অনুসারে প্যাসেজে প্রমাণ খুঁজে এমন সমাপ্তি বাছুন যা অর্থ ও ব্যাকরণ দুটোতেই মেলে।
Do not: Match by grammar alone without checking the passage.
শুধু ব্যাকরণ দেখে মেলাবেন না - প্যাসেজে যাচাই করুন।
Sentence completion
Do: Predict the missing word type, scan in question order, and copy the exact passage words within the limit.
কোন ধরনের শব্দ লাগবে অনুমান করুন, প্রশ্নের ক্রমে স্ক্যান করুন এবং সীমার মধ্যে প্যাসেজের হুবহু শব্দ লিখুন।
Do not: Change the passage word, add unnecessary words or ignore grammar.
প্যাসেজের শব্দ পাল্টাবেন না, অপ্রয়োজনীয় শব্দ যোগ করবেন না, ব্যাকরণ উপেক্ষা করবেন না।
Summary completion
Do: Read the full summary first, predict each word type, then find the relevant passage section. Use exact words or the supplied letter.
আগে পুরো সারাংশ পড়ুন, প্রতিটি শব্দ-ধরন অনুমান করুন, তারপর প্যাসেজের সংশ্লিষ্ট অংশ খুঁজুন। হুবহু শব্দ বা দেওয়া অক্ষর ব্যবহার করুন।
Do not: Search the whole passage separately for every gap without understanding the summary.
সারাংশ না বুঝে প্রতিটি ফাঁকের জন্য আলাদাভাবে পুরো প্যাসেজ খুঁজবেন না।
Note completion
Do: Use the note headings to locate the relevant section. Predict noun, verb, number or adjective, then copy the exact answer.
নোটের হেডিং দিয়ে সংশ্লিষ্ট অংশ খুঁজুন। noun, verb, সংখ্যা না adjective লাগবে অনুমান করে হুবহু উত্তর লিখুন।
Do not: Copy surrounding words that are not needed or exceed the limit.
প্রয়োজন নেই এমন আশপাশের শব্দ কপি করবেন না, সীমা ছাড়াবেন না।
Table completion
Do: Use row and column headings to understand the category. Scan for the matching information and check units carefully.
সারি ও কলামের হেডিং দিয়ে শ্রেণিটি বুঝুন। মিল থাকা তথ্য স্ক্যান করুন এবং একক মন দিয়ে দেখুন।
Do not: Put the right information in the wrong row or column.
সঠিক তথ্য ভুল সারি বা কলামে বসাবেন না।
Flow-chart completion
Do: Follow the stages and arrows, then find the process or sequence section. Copy the exact words for each step.
ধাপ ও তির অনুসরণ করে প্রক্রিয়ার অংশটি খুঁজুন। প্রতিটি ধাপের জন্য হুবহু শব্দ লিখুন।
Do not: Mix information from different stages or assume every answer is in strict passage order.
ভিন্ন ধাপের তথ্য মিলিয়ে ফেলবেন না, সব উত্তর কড়া ক্রমে আছে ধরে নেবেন না।
Diagram-label completion
Do: Study the diagram, labels and direction first. Find the descriptive section and trace each part using exact passage words.
আগে ডায়াগ্রাম, লেবেল ও দিক দেখুন। বর্ণনামূলক অংশ খুঁজে প্যাসেজের হুবহু শব্দ দিয়ে প্রতিটি অংশ মেলান।
Do not: Use general knowledge or invent a technical label.
সাধারণ জ্ঞান ব্যবহার করবেন না, নিজের কারিগরি লেবেল বানাবেন না।
Short-answer questions
Do: Read the question, scan for the fact, and copy the shortest exact phrase that answers it within the limit.
প্রশ্ন পড়ে তথ্যটি স্ক্যান করুন এবং সীমার মধ্যে সবচেয়ে ছোট হুবহু উত্তরটি লিখুন।
Do not: Write a full sentence or include words that do not answer the question.
পূর্ণ বাক্য লিখবেন না, প্রশ্নের উত্তর নয় এমন শব্দ রাখবেন না।
